Kona 27 Hole Par 3 Golf Course Complex Concept
Three connected 9 hole par 3 courses of graduated difficulty, clubhouse/meeting rooms, driving range, practice area, parking for 300 autos, Kids play for free, Hawaii adults discounted to $5-10, visitors $20-30. Driving range open to all with revenue funding overall operations.
Weekly tournament held every Saturday (Rudy Duran model). Shotgun start with 5 players (and their caddies) per hole every two hours. Weekly tournament capacity >800 players. If demand exceeds capacity we can split boys and girls divisions over a Saturday and Sunday to create total tournament capacity of 1,600 players per weekend. Over time the giant scale of the tournament will attract Jr Golfers from the other counties and from around the world.
Hawaiian kids play tournament for free, visiting kids pay $25-$45.
Initially the weekly tournament operated by adults transitioning to all operations positions assumed by Hawaiian kids within two years.
There are currently several players on Hawaii who are easily considered COMPETENT or even expert level Jr Golfers. Over time many more kids who start practicing and playing in the weekly tournament will become COMPETENT. The plan is to reward those newly COMPETENT players with a ‘Jr Golf Black Belt card’. With the cooperation of the existing courses on Hawaii the Black Belt player would present their card to the Starter and play for free on a space available basis.
